Welcome to 2023 and welcome to my first post of the year. What a blast I already had at the start of the year. Here are some updates: I got engaged which was nerve-wracking. I got to try a new sport -snowboarding. Trying new things and learning new everyday has always been my mantra in life so I decided this year will be full of discovery, learning and adjusting myself to a new life. Anyways, that’s from me. What a great topic to start the new year. talking about some traits that make a strong woman successful.
Today, social media has a very different portrayal of what a strong woman looks like. The main characteristics seem to comprise having it all together at all times.
However, the reality is quite different. As part of the human experience, turbulences and victories are all part of the game. What defines a strong woman are a select few traits. I love this topic and my blog is all about empowered and successful women.

1. Finding strength in vulnerability
Have you ever heard the buzz quote, “Strong, independent woman?” Well, being independent doesn’t mean you need to do it all alone, there is power in vulnerability. Being able to accept help is also a sign of confidence.
When others view your kindness and openness as weaknesses, don’t fall into becoming overly skeptical, and distant. Instead, lean on trusted family, friends, and colleagues that recognize these traits!
2. Stay away from self-sabotaging habits
One of the biggest cons of our system is pitting women against each other or encouraging destructive habits. However, this trajectory makes growth much more difficult due to substance abuse and self-sabotaging behaviors.
Instead, focus on finding your peace by building healthy habits and a network of supportive people to share your burden with.
3. Your worth is not defined by others’ opinions
As an attribute of a strong personality, confidence has a substantial part to play. Women who are self-aware of their capabilities and worth are often unaffected by the weight of others’ opinions.
Oftentimes, the negative naysayers may attempt at bringing down your confidence through small criticisms, or active bullying.
However, as Elenor Roosevelt had said, “Nobody has the permission to make you feel inferior without your permission.” Your worth is not dependent on what others say (or don’t) about you.
4. Faith can help you move mountains
There are events, adversities, and curveballs that can bring you down in life. Nobody is immune to the ups and downs of life.
However, strong women have an unshakeable faith in themselves and the higher power to guide them through such trials and tribulations. Developing a closer bond with God with a Daily Devotional for Women will help with creating the mindset of being divinely guided while being able to follow your gut without any doubts.
These editorials can also help in creating a balance with your spiritual and intellectual self, which are essential skills.
5. Learn to take up space

Shrinking your personality, achievements talents, and being as a whole for the comfort of others is something a lot of strong personalities are guilty of.
The reasoning behind this practice may be to appear less intimidating, more approachable, or simply less noticeable in a crowd. However, nothing good ever comes out of dulling your shine.
Instead, it may attract people who do not share the same value systems and potential as you. Stop selling yourself short and don’t hesitate to be yourself!
6. Self-Discipline
Self-discipline is key to success in any endeavor, and is essential for any woman who wants to make something of her life. It involves setting goals, developing an action plan, and then working diligently and with consistency until those goals are achieved.
By practicing self-discipline, you can stay focused on your goals and surround yourself with the right habits for achieving them.
7. Intelligence and Confidence
Smart and confident women understand that intelligence and confidence go hand in hand when it comes to achieving success.
I believe that a successful woman should be able to think critically and problem-solve effectively, but she must also have the self-esteem, courage and inner strength to take risks and make decisions with assurance.
Intelligence combined with confidence is a powerful combination for any woman who wants to get ahead in life.
8. Drive, Ambition, and Passion
A successful woman doesn’t settle for mediocrity. She is driven to drive herself as far as she can go and won’t let anyone or anything stand in her way.
Resilience and perseverance are key trait for any success seekers, but ambition and passion must come together to fuel the fire of progress.
A woman with a clear vision set out to obtain her goals is on the fastest route possible for success.
9. Fearlessness
Fearlessness is a trait that all successful women share. A fear of failure can set you up for it, while a lack of fear can open up new possibilities and ideas.
A successful woman isn’t afraid to try something new that could be the very thing setting her apart or leading her to success. She will take risks and explore options without hesitation, knowing that even if the results don’t turn out as expected, she’ll keep moving forward anyway.
Sharing is Caring

What are some other traits that make a strong woman successful?
As women, your strength is not a measured scale of achievements and accomplishments, but the deep assurance, integrity, and self-love you can form. While your choices may be out of the box, your light to live on your own terms is not, no matter what walk of life you come from.
The highlight of strong women is how beautifully vulnerable they can be while displaying consistency over their own authenticity. We hope that this blog brings all the Wonder Women some insight into how they can hold on to that.
Fearlessness and learning to take up space will always propel women to greater levels of success! Taking up space means them advocating for themselves.
This is powerful. Thank you
Wonderful list and I do agree with many of them. Stop self-deconstructing and positive energy is what we need to propel us to success – knycx journeying
This was such a powerful article. Lots of these points really hit home. For me, I think I need to work on not letting the comments of others bring me down and make me feel like I am not doing a good job.
This was such an uplifting article! Sometimes we have doubts in ourselves, so I love your reminder to not lose faith. I also believe it’s important to control our thoughts and set boundaries. Beautiful article!
This is everything I am raising my daughter to have.
Awesome! These are amazing traits to make a strong and successful woman! Definitely a great reference not just only to woman but to everyone who wants to change for the best! Truly love this post! Thanks!
This was a lovely reminder that strength is often found in many different things and can be manifested in any number of ways. I appreciate the inclusion of not comparing ourselves to other as I think this is something many of us have to work on. Thanks for sharing!
I agree all of these are fantastic! I need to work on one or two of these though, I am often too hard on myself and compare a lot.
I can be so bad about not accepting help from others, then I find myself drowning. This year, I am learning to say “no” when I need to. I think having set boundaries is definitely something we could all use, too.
Fearlessness is such an admirable trait. Salute to all the strong women 🙂
