There are instances we wish we could turn back time and redo our past. I really do wish that were true. But sadly, what has been done cannot be undone. We can only reminisce and learn from our past.
Nonetheless, below are some things you’d tell your younger self.
Have the courage to think and dream big
Be ambitious in life and be brave enough to pursue your dreams. You are young so, take advantage of the energy you have. There is nothing wrong with wanting so much in life.
Dreaming big is better than having no dreams at all. You have a map of your own to navigate your life and a destination to look forward to.
Work hard and be consistent
This is definitely one thing Ive learned since I started blogging with Bluehost. You have to work hard and be consistent in your business to grow. A lot of time I wanted to give up on blogging since it was overwhelming and not easy but we all need to remind ourselves that consistency is the key.
Nothing comes easy in life so you have to work hard and be consistent with this. The process you are following might be pretty slow. Don’t give up anyway.
No matter how frustrating life can be, be diligent enough to stay true to your dreams. Know that in the end, you will reap what you have sown. Your effort will eventually pay off – that is.

Plan ahead

Planning ahead saves you a great deal of pain, time, and energy. When you plan, it is as if you have already finished 50% of the job.
So, take time to plan your day tomorrow. Be realistic in doing this and do not jam-pack your list with a number of tasks you know you cannot possibly do in one go.
Plan and be ready to execute it. You can start with ready-made planners or templates. It’s also a great time to start with bullet journaling and start with blank notebooks.
Invest in yourself
I know you are innately talented. You also have the skills which include writing. Hone them by taking courses online.
Public speaking courses might also be a great idea. This will surely prepare you for the future to come.
Read books that feed your soul and mind. Join workout classes that will boost your physical health. Anything that promotes productivity, take it. Grab that opportunity.
I cannot emphasize enough how passionate I am in sharing the goodness and benefits of investing in yourself.
Save money
Young as you are, start saving money – a couple of bills a month will do. Do not fall into the habit of exhausting all your money down to the last cent. Save some for a rainy day.
At least when you have savings, you will have something to fall back into when the situation requires it. Check your spending habits.
If you are splurging, then you’d better stop or do your best to lessen it. Think of the future.

Start a small business
Starting a small business is all about timing and it doesn’t have anything to do with your young age. You can try buy-and-selling books. Since it is the craze, you will likely earn some.
You can also try the food or clothing business. Anything legal that generates money will do.
Do not pass up on an opportunity. Take advantage of the time you have as a young person to start something that has the potential to grow in the future.
Don’t be afraid to try new things
Even if you are young, you might have inhibitions – that reluctance to try new things. Don’t be. Life is short and you cannot just simply waste it on worrying or feeling afraid.
Try new things such as going out and meeting new people. Visit places and go on a hiking adventure from time to time.
Doing something you haven’t tried before will bring colors into your life. It provides you opportunities to discover yourself and uncover your potential.
Surround yourself with hardworking and driven people
Hardworking people always have the power to inspire others around them. That is why it is a must for you to surround yourself with their likes. They do not only encourage you to do your best but they are there to help you know your capabilities.
Be with people who have big goals and are driven to pursue them. Let go of toxic and negative kinds of relationships. If you think being with those people exhausts or stresses you out, quit it.
Read memoirs of successful people

Taking a dive into the life experiences of successful people like the type of Oprah, Tony Robbins, Michelle Obama, and others will give you the hope to achieve your goals.
Learn from their perspective and how they have overcome their struggles. Pick the lessons and apply them in your personal life.
Reading memoirs of others will give you the feeling that you are not alone in your struggle. There are people out there who went through or are still going through their share of adversity.
Be competitive
Life is all about going the extra mile. You don’t need to compete with others, but with your past self. Learn to outdo your previous performance.
By being competitive, you get to be more creative and determined. You get to uncover your talents and become the better or best version of yourself.
Learn other skills
Skills are lifesavers and they are something you have to hone as early as now. Learn cooking, writing, selling, or public speaking. These are necessary for you to survive in this highly competitive society.
Learning new skills does not only give you the opportunity to become more involved in your community. It likewise boosts your earning capacity and makes you relevant.
Therefore, take this chance to discover your potential.
Trust the process more
I know you are scared and anxious about what the future has in store for you. You may find yourself on the verge of giving up. But that is when you should hang on to your goals.
Trust the process. If you have set yourself to achieve something or to become this somebody eventually, stay true to it.
The journey may be long, uncertain, and tiresome. But you can survive. You’re a survivor after all.
Sharing is Caring

OVER TO YOU
You might find yourself in a situation where you’d think – “I wish I knew then what I know now”. That is okay. It’s never too late to do what we could have done before at present.
But if you’re young and you’re reading this, maybe you can take my word for it. Learn from these things I’d tell my 20-year-old self. I wish you all the best on your journey. Stay inspired and motivated.

These are the important things.
Really good advice, if only we knew then what we know now. I’d tell myself what I tell myself now ‘give yourself a break’ x
Investing within myself would be probably what I will tell to my old self. Making sure to be more concern about health too! And of course to keep fighting.
These are all important things to remind ourselves. Thanks for reading 🙂
I would tell these to my younger self too! Love this post!
I’ll tell my old self to save more and invest on stock market! Also, to become healthier and be ready for pandemic!
These are wonderful, I wish my older self had been around to guide me when I was younger, and to encourage me to have been braver!
I would say that wherever you are just have fun and don’t be hard on yourself you are gonna do well.
