Like a traveler in the wilderness, we need our North Star. We need a force that will help us go on with our life. We need some fuel as much as our cars need it to function well and to move further on the road. We need wisdom from those who have series of experiences in life to empower us.
For us to get the motivation and the drive to wake up every day, to handle our business and studies, to hustle and do what we are born to do, we then listed some powerful mindset quotes below. Go check them out and we hope they would spark the fire in you.
“Everything you want is on the other side of fear.” – Jack Canfield
Imagine yourself as someone who has been starved for a long time. You get weak, desperate, and angry. Once you spot food, you suddenly evolve into something feral. All you want to do is to grab that food and wolf it down. You act desperate.
Think of your dream this way. Be desperate. Be hungry. Don’t let fear rob you of the success you deserve. Success awaits your arrival on the other side. Go get it. Crush that fear that is blocking your way and snatch that success you are destined to have.
“Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.” – Zig Ziglar
Most of us think that abilities, skills, and talents are the only keys to success. Probably, those qualities will help you land a job or a career. But in my experience, these do not really guarantee a success that can last a lifetime.
Can-do attitude is the most important thing. That means you have to approach a certain task with tenacity, determination, and enthusiasm. No matter how skilled or talented you are, that doesn’t count that much if you lack the will and eagerness to finish a job. You might end up failing and defeated in the process.
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” – Mahatma Gandhi
This is one of my favorite mindset quotes. I live with it and by far, I think it really did turn my life around. Our day-to-day life is meant to be lived to the fullest – no holds barred. Think of this day as an opportunity and when you receive an opportunity, what do you do? Of course, you utilize it to your heart’s content.
But don’t just live; learn as well. Learning is a lifetime process. We learn every day – from the little thing we do to the big ones. The study, educate yourself and others and bask in the knowledge that life offers. Use it to improve your life.
“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.” Mark Twain
Time and time again, we hear stories about staying away from people who are harmful to our dreams. Why keep them if they only hold you back or do not contribute to your self-growth and development?
As an adult, this is something I have learned the hard way. I thought by keeping every person, literally, everyone I meet along the way, helps. But, no! Some of them don’t.
Thus, I realized that it’s better to have one lion, pushing you to your limits, as a companion than to have a pack of fox, sly and may even hurt you at the end.
“After every difficulty, ask yourself two questions: “What did I do right?” and “What would I do differently?” Brian Tracy
A number of people shy away from difficulties; they avoid them. But strong people like us don’t. We face every single one of them with grit. But in every difficulty that we face, we also need to examine.
Self-evaluation is a key to enhancing our abilities and to knowing ourselves more. We have to be aware of how we have overcome a certain challenge and how we can deal with something like this better in the future.

“Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment.” Oprah Winfrey
Screw mediocrity! Sorry again for the blunt word but that is something that we need to hear. We have to give our 100% in every work we do every day, may it be small or big. We cannot and should not live with the thought that we can do better next time; instead, we have to do our best now. The way we do our work or live our life at the moment defines our future. So, if you want to have a better day tomorrow, live and give your best self today.

“Be so busy improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others.” Chetan Bhagat
Sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong, that is interfering with other people’s life, will not get you anywhere. That bad habit will drag you down and get you stuck. For you to improve your life and grow mentally, you have to work hard on yourself. Focus on what matters more than what doesn’t. Get busy. Read a book and apply what you have learned. Sign up for an online class and start polishing your skills. Put your time and effort to use.
“Spend eighty percent of your time focusing on the opportunities of tomorrow rather than the problems of yesterday.” Brian Tracy
Reliving the negativities of your past will surely rob you of your chance to live a happy life. Yesterday’s gone, today has come. You cannot undo what has been done. What you can only do is to learn from it and use those lessons to forge your future.
Make use of your time now to do better in the future. Life is all about learning. Sure, we fail, and not just for once. Expect that you can fail every single day. That is okay. What is not okay is feeling crappy over it again and again. Get yourself together and work for your future.

“I am always doing what I cannot do yet. In order to learn how to do it.” Vincent Van Gogh
Most of us are focused on constantly polishing and refining our strengths. But sometimes, we also need to work on those that we are not skilled in. If we lack the ability to write blogs, then we should start researching how to do it. If we are having a hard time dealing with zoom presentations, then let’s hit YouTube and watch some tutorials.
If we struggle in understanding 1 + 1, then let us consult articles or books online about math. The point is we have to keep the balance between what we know and what we do not know yet.

“Who questions much, shall learn much, and retain much.” – Francis Bacon
In the book of Norwegian author Jostein Gardner, Sophie’s World, it says “A philosopher never gets quite used to the world. To him or her, the world continues to seem a bit unreasonable – bewildering, even enigmatic.” I am not saying you have to be philosophers to question everything about life.
You just need to be inquisitive. Be curious, that is. Seek to grow by continually asking questions. Be a student and don’t stop at anything until you are satisfied with the answer.
“They cannot stop me. I will get my education if it is in the home, school, or anyplace.” Malala Yousafzai
Be the person who does not stop at anything to get what she wants; who is not bothered by any obstacle to be where she wants to be. If you wish to have an education, go get it.
Go to school or hit the Public Library. Borrow materials from someone you know if you cannot afford one. What matters here is you are doing something. You are making a step towards the dream you have been yearning for.
If you want to succeed, you have to have the guts to go through the hurdles that are in getting in your way.
“It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Confucius

Life is a marathon, not a sprint. As we are all aware, a marathon is not easy. It requires intense preparation, body, and mind. It is the same with life. If you want to stay and survive in the game of life, then learn how to play.
Do not feel rushed if you see your peers getting ahead of their lives. Let them! You know, great things take time to build. We have our own timeline and yours is probably not today. But that should not stop you from grinding.
Keep working and keep building. Your empire will soon rise.
No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thinking. – Voltaire
Every day, we are faced with problems, small or big. As human beings, we are naturally problem solvers. But our capacity to resolve issues depends on how we train our minds. We have to regularly feed our brains with the right information as well as with affirmations. We have to be keen observant of things. We have to know how to evaluate situations as well. By doing these on a regular basis, we may become determined to tackle problems that will come on our way.
Failure is so important. It is the ability to resist failure or use failure that often leads to greater success. – J.K. Rowling
This is our sad reality – if you fail, then you are nothing! Absolutely nothing! Some may even go as far as calling you “useless”. Offensive, right? But don’t let those sad, negative words get into your head. Those people who carry that kind of mindset know nothing about our struggle.
Failure brings innovation. We wouldn’t have light bulbs now had it not been for Thomas Edison, one of the inventors of the Incandescent light bulb. He did not even view failure as an actual failure. He said and I quote, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.’ – Muhammad Ali
Fighters have one of the most rigorous and demanding jobs. For them to be able to withstand the pressure of the crowd and to be able to defeat their opponent, they need to undergo intense training every now and then in the gym.
There are two things that I admire about them – their willpower and discipline. They do it for passion. It is important that they have the mindset of a Champion.
Singer Carrie Underwood featuring American Rapper Ludacris in her song defines CHAMPION as C – courage, H – hurt, A – attitude, M – motivation, P – persevere, I – integrity, O – optimistic, and N – necessary. Don’t give up because life just punched you in the face. Be a champion.
“Think of discomfort as currency- it’s the price you pay to learn some pretty crucial things.” Lily Singh
Our big aspirations and goals in life come with a price – a heavy one. We have to pay it with our sweat, countless sleepless nights, time, and effort. We have to learn how to sacrifice our social life for once to focus on our future careers.
We have to make compromises. It would be tough and probably, we are going to hate every second of it. But know that those will all pay off in the end.
Just carry on at your pace. You will get there.
“It is not the strongest species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the most responsive to change”. – Charles Darwin
While it matters to have a strong body and mind to survive in the game of life, those will be for nothing if you lack the ability to adapt. Change is the only permanent thing on earth.
We witness changes every day – changing our job; moving to another city; meeting new people; doing new tasks at work and others. If we feel stressed out because of these things, then we will not possibly last long.
One legendary mixed martial artist once said, “Be like water.” Water changes its form or shape according to where it goes and flows. It is flexible and it does not have an actual form.
That analogy encourages us to have an open mind and to have the ability to change to the circumstance we are put in.

Be humble, be hungry, and be the hardest worker in the room. – Dwayne Johnson
Humility, drive, and diligence are some of the most important qualities to prosper in life. Humility tells us to recognize our weaknesses and work on them. Drive pushes us to endure and withstand the grind we have to do every day.
Diligence is what makes us exceptional. Be those people who carry those qualities in them. Be driven, but be humble. Do your work, but be diligent.
For your Inspiration

Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.
You do not need fancy things, huge money, nice cars, and great friends to start something in life. You have to utilize whatever resources you have at the moment. Start humble and if you continue working on what you have, it will grow. It is like planting. You plant a seed.
You water it. Once it starts to form its leaves, keep watering it until it grows – until it will fully bloom. You know, the grass is not always greener on the other side. The grass is greener where you water it.
When you know your WHY, you can endure any HOW.
It is by knowing the reason why you do things that keeps you going. When we start a journey, we usually come up with goals. So, we set our plans. Having a clear picture of how we should spend our day makes it easier for us to work. So, let me ask you something. What do you really want in life? And what are the things you are willing to do to achieve it? Answer that and you will do just fine.
If people doubt how far you can go, go so far that you can’t hear them anymore.
We are not strangers to criticisms and small thinkers. We hear and encounter them. Here is the thing about small-minded people. They talk but their words are empty as air. They got nothing on you, okay? How you take those words you hear is up to you. You can choose to believe them or use them as your fuel to keep going further in life

OVER TO YOU
From time to time, we need powerful, badass positive mindset quotes to provide us a burst of wisdom. They push us whenever we feel depleted and down. They are there ready to help us get back on track. To end then, I would like to leave you with these words from American activist Yuri Kochiyama herself.
“So, transform yourself first. Because you are young and have dreams and want to do something meaningful, that in itself, makes you our future and our hope. Keep expanding your horizon, decolonize your mind, and cross borders.” Stay inspired and motivated.
