The Perfect skincare daily routine for you

Despite being the largest organ in the human body and a major barrier to foreign bodies into the body, many people do not know the right way to care for the skin. Even those who acknowledge the need to care for their skin do not know which skincare products to use. Others who do just use them in the wrong order.
A skincare routine is peculiar to the skin type of the user. What works for another person might be the bane for another. However, what remains constant is that there must be a daily routine to achieve healthy and flawless skin.
You will learn in this article some general steps anyone can adopt to get great skin through daily care.
1. Cleansing
Whether you are developing a day or night skincare routine, cleansing should be the first step in your routine. It rids your skin of the dirt it has gathered during the day, the oil produced by your sebaceous gland, sweat, and other impurities that may be trapped in your skin pores, clogging them.
The greatest danger in cleansing is that most of the store-bought cleansers strip the face of its oil and this dries it excessively. This is counter-productive to the desired result as it can irritate the skin with continuous use, breaking its protective barrier.
The key is in using sulfate-free cleansers that will do the job of clearing out the impurities without stripping the face.
A foaming cleanser is ideal for oily skin while one that foams gently is suitable for acne-prone skin. People with dry skin should use more hydrating products that contain glycerin or hyaluronic acid while those with sensitive skin would be better off with micellar water.
2. Treatment
The treatment step in skincare is where any underlying skin challenge is addressed. It could range from treatment for sunburn or hyperpigmentation to acne treatment.
Treatment is usually done with products like toners, serums, or creams loaded with active ingredients like retinol, Vitamin C, AHAs, and hyaluronic acid. Even natural products like manuka honey are popular for their anti-inflammatory properties which help heal wounds quickly and fade blemishes with no side effects.
When applying some of these treatment products, you should be cautious to stick strictly to their time of use. Some products should only be used during the day while there are some that are for night use only.
Also, ingredients like niacinamide boost collagen production while the holy grail of skincare treatment is considered to be vitamin C. It works on the damage caused by the sun and hyperpigmentation.
3. Moisturizing
Moisture retention is the key to keeping the skin supple and healthy. But daily activities work against this hence it is necessary to supplement the intake of water with a moisturizer. Moisturizers contain active ingredients like hyaluronic acid and ceramides that help keep the skin hydrated, further strengthening its barriers.
Individuals with oily skin would benefit from moisturizers in lotion form as they allow easier penetration of the ingredients. Those with drier skin would find great use in cream-based moisturizers that are much thicker.
4. Finish with Moisturizer or a serum
After cleansing, follow up with a moisturizing cream or serum. This will seal in moisture and prevent any further loss of moisture. If you’re using a product containing retinol, make sure to wait at least two hours after applying it before going out into the sun.
Skincare Daily Routine Tips for the Perfect Skin
The right skincare products can improve our skin in many ways. Here are some tips for creating an effective skincare regimen that will leave you looking younger and feeling great.

Cleanse Twice a Day
Cleansing twice a day is one of the easiest things you can do to keep your skin healthy. It also helps remove dirt and oil buildup from your pores, which prevents acne breakouts.
To cleanse properly, use a gentle cleanser with a mild pH level. Avoid using harsh soaps because they strip away the natural oils that protect your skin. Instead, opt for a foaming face wash that gently removes makeup and impurities without irritating your skin.
Moisturize After Exfoliation
Once you’ve exfoliated your skin, moisturizing is essential to prevent dryness and irritation. Choose a rich moisturizer that will provide hydration and protection against environmental damage.
Apply a small amount of lotion to your face after cleansing and before applying any other products.
Apply Sunscreen Every Morning
It’s important to apply sunscreen every morning because it protects your skin from harmful UV rays. If you forget to apply sunscreen, reapply throughout the day. You should also use a broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen with a UVA/UVB rating of at least 15.
Don’t Overdo It with Serums
While serums are great for targeted areas, they can often cause irritation when applied to large areas of the skin. Instead, try using them sparingly and only after cleansing.
Try an Eye Cream
An eye cream can provide extra hydration to the delicate area around your eyes. It also helps reduce puffiness and dark circles under the eyes.
