Motivation and inspiration in life is what makes us get out of bed every morning. But how to find inspiration in life? We can get stuck in a rut and in these times we seek for some inspiration. Finding inspiration in everyday life is what this article is all about because like the withering flowers in summer, our motivation can get sapped by various factors around us.
Such factors could be fatigue from work, pressure from other people, and lack of enough rest. Our energy depletes. As a result, we would find ourselves idling and procrastinating.
The thing is finding inspiration in life is not a walk in the park. It’s not simple. To be mentally stimulated requires action. Inspiration is the product of actually doing something. You don’t wait for it to happen but you make it happen.

How to find inspiration in everyday life: 8 ways to finding inspiration in everyday life

1. Be enthusiastic
Wake up with the knowledge that today is your day. It doesn’t matter if you’re not 100% your best self. You just have to act.
Be intentional about your day by focusing on doing the important tasks of the day. Finding inspiration in everyday life stems from completing even a single task. That single task alone can push you to move on to the next activity on your To-Do list.
My blog has teamed up with Day Designer to bring you planners and help you achieve your most important tasks of the day. Check out their planners.

2. Eat that frog!
This is a productivity trick popularized by Brian Tracy in his book Eat that Frog! It’s all about identifying the most challenging task on your list and prioritizing it. Once you’re done with the hardest task possible, your day will likely sail smoothly.
3. Plan out your day and execute
Finding inspiration in life starts with planning. You cannot just simply wake up and expect your day to be productive. You have to have a roadmap to keep you going.
By planning, you inspire yourself. You get the kick to begin your day and you become more animated.
4. Wake up an hour earlier than others
Mornings are the most stimulating part of the day. That much is obvious. You get to relish the silence, the sunrise, and your own company.
You get to enjoy some motivation. It helps to clear your mind and focus on your breathing. Such simple things can spark some inspiration in you.
5. Read an inspiring article
I sometimes find myself in a confusing state or even in a slump. There is zero motivation to even start something.
Reading an inspiring article about successful, driven people helps me get out of the rut. Such a kick of motivation might not last long. But it’s enough to nudge me to move. It might do the trick with you as well. I love Mark Manson’s site as a source of inspiration. You can also check Jen Sincero’s site to read some inspiring articles.
6. Reorganize your room
Perhaps, what you need is a change of environment. Re-create your room in such a way that it induces inspiration.
Put some plants on your table. Some greeneries are known for their soothing effect. You may write some words of encouragement and post them somewhere on your table. So whenever you look at it, you might find an ounce of inspiration.

7. Sometimes, all you need is a bowl of ice cream
When all energy has been drained out of you, it seems impossible to function at the moment. No inspiration to fuel you. What you need is to simply take a break and treat yourself to a bowl of your comfort food.
8. Take a walk and immerse yourself in nature
To ignite that slumbering inspiration in your system, take a brief stroll through nature. The brain cannot seem to generate ideas if it’s filled with intrusive thoughts. Let nature take its course and help you get back on track.
How to find inspiration at work

1. Change your mindset
Everything always circles back to mindset. Do you have the right frame of mind? No matter how oriented you are in goal-setting, without the proper mindset, you will not go far.
Thus, start with optimism. Believe that you will somehow find the inspiration to start anew or to continue.
2. Be more proactive
Proactivity means taking initiative at work. You know your responsibilities and you are determined to do them.
Finding inspiration at work goes with the knowledge that you are hardworking. The more proactive you are, the higher the likelihood that your colleagues will appreciate you. The praise that comes with it will surely fire you up to continue.
3. Focus on what you can contribute
Do not go to the office and complain about the system or the environment itself. Instead of whining about your work, focus on what you can offer.
By doing that, you are attracting inspiration to yourself. You have the drive to help the company grow and so, you are going the extra mile to just do it.
4. Study your role in the workplace
Know thyself! That’s one of the ancient, cardinal rules everybody should be aware of. You could perform at your best if you are well-versed in the nuances of your role.
Thus, make time to study what you’re designated at. By doing so, you are making yourself invincible. You would eventually find the inspiration you so desire.
5. Be open to constructive feedback
If you crave improvement, be more open to criticisms, especially constructive ones. Constructive feedback gives us the opportunity to progress; thereby, arousing inspiration within us.
6. Avoid procrastination
Procrastination is a deal-breaker. It encourages discouragement rather than inspiration. So, before it gets the best of you, you have to act. By breaking bad habits, you will undoubtedly charm inspiration.
7. Don’t look for positivity. Be one!
Be the source of positivity and inspiration at work instead of looking for it outside. Look within. Take note that intrinsic motivation is far more empowering than extrinsic ones. Thus, if you can’t find inspiration outside, perhaps it’s within you waiting for you to take notice.
8. Seek more challenges
The more challenges you accept, the better. You have higher chances of inspiring yourself and others as well. Inspiration comes from the ability to exceed expectations. So, be more proactive and embrace more grueling projects.
Finding inspiration in life and in yourself

1. Know your why
What we do in life will always go back to our “whys”. Why are we doing what we’re doing? What is the endgame for this one?
By being aware of your purpose, you will be more guided and dedicated. That is how you find inspiration within yourself. It’s knowing the basics of what you’re doing and why you’re doing it.
2. Develop an inspirational routine
Dedicate 10 minutes of your time to listen to a motivational video on YouTube. Then, dedicate another 10 minutes to reflect on what you have watched. Journal your thoughts.
You can revise and come up with your routine. You either do this early in the morning or before bedtime.
3. Create High-Level Habits
High-level habits drive people to greater heights. They stay disciplined and focused. You can do the same thing by eliminating distractions. Read books that are related to your cause and continue to educate yourself.
4. Take a moment and reflect
How to find inspiration in life? Take a moment and contemplate which is best done at the end of your day. You might find yourself exhausted by that time surely. But setting a few minutes to reflect on what has transpired during the day will help you track your progress.
5. Pursue what makes you happy
Because of necessity, we forget to pursue our passion. We put it off because there are more pressing matters that require our full attention. But it doesn’t have to be like this. From time to time, do what entices you. I can assure you that doing what fires you up helps you to finding inspiration in life.

6. Remind yourself that everything is temporary
Your lack of inspiration is merely temporary. Life is full of ups and downs. You cannot be inspired all the time. You cannot be 100% energized. By accepting that fact, you tend to not stress yourself out. As a result, you’ll find the inspiration you need.
7. Go to a local cafe
This is one of my secrets to finding inspiration in everyday life. It might sound simple but I love visiting cafes and I am always left inspired and motivated after. It is my happy place.
Going to a local cafe seems to do the trick sometimes. By cooping up in your room, your tank of inspiration gets depleted. Things could get dull and boring. So, change your scenery and go out. Take in the beauty your local cafe has to offer.
8. Use productivity Apps
Occasionally, no matter what you do, inspiration seems impossible to find. Thus, by using productivity apps, you prevent yourself from getting off track. Use Pomodoro to keep your hands full. Eventually, inspiration will gradually kick in.
9. Take an occasional vacation
Getting away for a while might help you find inspiration. So, take that much-needed vacation and sail to the beach or go camping. Allowing yourself to be away from work or studies is necessary to allow creative thoughts to pour in.
10. Watch an inspiring movie
Don’t underestimate the power of a movie. I am personally fond of watching rags-to-riches kind of movies. It is relatable. By knowing that you’re not alone in this journey, you’re likely know how to find inspiration to carry on.
