Japanese castle

It is such a fascinating culture and I am privileged to get to experience it. It might not be new to you but the Japanese culture has been in the spotlight for years. They made names like the country full of kawaii (cute) things, the world of Anime, healthy and raw food but I want to dig deeper into this culture. The best way to understand Japanese culture and way of life, behavior, and attitudes is these cultural codes. I have a long list of answers and they all have to do with cultural attitudes but let’s tackle ten for this article. These cultural code words reveal why the Japanese society is always in order and their etiquette is a high priority.

Japanese skin care and beauty products

When you think of Japan, what is the first word that comes out of your mind? You might be thinking about technology, sushi, or anime. But did you know that Japan is also a world leader when it comes to Beauty? Japanese people invest more in beauty products than any other country. I, too, have been investing in Japanese skincare and beauty products, but they don’t have to be expensive. You can find cheap ones or at reasonable prices. The choices are endless, and shopping can be overwhelming. Don’t worry, I am here to save you from bad purchases. I thoroughly researched and genuinely picked all of the products, and I use almost all of them.

My journey and tips on studying Japanese

tips on learning japanese

When I came to Japan in October 2016, I could barely buy my groceries in the supermarket or convenience store. When I tried to buy a temporary sim card. My friend from Tokyo had to exit from her job and come help me. I could barely get directions to the station. People were afraid of me when I approach them in English. Fast forward to 2020, I am conversationally fluent in Japanese. I can hold intermediate conversations. I can set up my internet bills and process documents in the city hall with less hassle. In this post I am sharing my journey and tips on studying Japanese

How to land your dream job in Japan

Japan temple

How do I get a job in Japan? I got this question a lot in my first year in Japan and even up to these days I still get some. There are more and more people wanting to work in Japan and I encourage them too. I always support people who want to experience Japan. Here is great. I love my job, the way of living, the culture, the food, and most especially the people.

I would like to share how I personally applied and landed my job in this foreign land. This applies to people who are currently living in the Philippines and not in another country.

  • 💫Cultivating self-worth

For years, I have been trying to find my worth from the outside. From other people and my environment. I had to learn the hard way that self-worth doesn't come from the outside. It doesn't come from how I look, or from what I own. It's not about buying a new dress, car, or makeup, nor having a perfect relationship.

💫Self-worth comes from within. Choose to notice what you love about yourself and embrace who you are to find and increase your self-worth. One last thing👇🏻

Don't pull yourself in the circle of comparison.

Comment below if you have a story to tell about cultivating self-worth.
