How to Boost Productivity?
Studies have shown the correlation between motivation and productivity. It’s that when people think of productivity in the things that they do, this will help them a lot because they don’t only motivate themselves but also inspires others as well.
When we understand the concept of productivity, we will be able to learn or acquire the necessary skills needed to make decisions that would affect our lives in the future.
To be able to boost one’s productivity, the first thing that needs to be done is to develop a positive outlook in life. This is very important because if you keep an open and positive outlook towards life in general, you will be able to overcome the everyday struggle that would come along the way.
Also, if you have a positive outlook in life, you will be able to turn failures into successes by seizing each opportunity that knocks on the door.
As simple as it sounds many of us are still having difficulties in achieving this because of so many factors such as personality, upbringing, and ways of managing stress as well as failure. Experts say that for one to develop a positive outlook in life, he or she must be able to keep a positive attitude first. Once a positive attitude is set, it is easier to look at things in an orderly way.
To develop a positive attitude, consider undergoing a self-reassessment to find out what are your strengths as well as your weaknesses. Once all of these have been identified, it will be easier to turn the bad ones into good ones and there would also be greater chances of making the positive ones better. Keep a journal with you and start writing and discover yourself more.
Instant Productivity Boosters
Being productive is not an easy task. It requires constant self-assessment and unending motivation or inspiration. These instant productivity boosters will help you achieve constant productivity.
1. Always have a goal and schedule
Since productivity is not an easy task to start with, it would be best if you start now by having goals that you could hold on to. As Tim Ferris says, start your day with intention. Set your goals and schedule your tasks.
The scale or the size of your goals doesn’t matter, it can be a big thing or a small thing, what’s important is that you are willing to do everything to complete your tasks.
For some people, having big projects or tasks work on them because they are looking forward to big rewards in the future that is why they are giving their best this early.
Plan ahead
You need to plan ahead and do things ahead of time so you will be given more opportunities or chances in case the first plan did not work. Taking and thinking one step ahead are the best foundations of being productive because if you were able to develop these, it would be easier for you to take tougher and bigger problems or challenges along the way.
When it comes to planning ahead, of course, we need a planner. I highly recommend Gary Keller’s The One Thing Planner. I love his planner as much as I love his book. You can also try Full Focus Planner. Start with this planner and you can invest in your future success.
2. Stop overthinking
Stop thinking at all times over something. It won’t do anything good, and it only brings anxiety. It would only bring in a mix of emotions that could be harder to handle and manage later. To keep constant productivity, try to veer away from negative thoughts and only think of the things where you could something good.
Block negative thoughts or emotions. Start your morning with positive affirmations or do something that bring in motivation such as having a healthy breakfast, listening to a podcast or meditation.
3. Let go of the past
The first step to be productive is to forget the failures and mistakes that you’ve had in the past. This is because if you already accepted that there are things that are beyond your control, you will be able to forgive yourself and start anew.
If you just keep thinking of the past, this will serve as a reminder of your failure. And if you keep thinking about your defeat, you will undergo a never ending cycle of blaming yourself for the things that you did not really opted to do.
4. Set your own pace

While it is true that being competitive is key in terms of achieving goals, there would always be times when you will get tired of running after so many things because you don’t want other people to finish before you.
To be able to increase productivity, it is best if you run a race at your own pace so you won’t get tired. This will also be good for you because you can rest whenever you want to since nobody is breathing down your neck to finish something.

5. Take baby steps
Start small. This is one of the easiest ways to start boosting your productivity. By starting small and simple, you are not putting too much pressure on yourself about the things that you need to do and what are you supposed to accomplish in a specific period of time.
By starting small, you will be able to accomplish easier tasks and you can move on to bigger challenges ahead knowing that you have gone though the entire process.
6. Stay in good company
To attain continuous productivity, it is very important for one to veer away from people who have negative vibes. It is a must for somebody to find a good company of people who are all enthusiastic, encouraging, and have a positive outlook in life so he or she would somehow feel a positive aura.
Follow productivity experts on social media and get positive vibes. Choose the right people who you let in your company. Look for accountability partners who will support your journey. Find people to boost your productivity and not bring you down to inactivity. Join facebooks groups to find people who are on the same journey as you. You can join Share to Inspire group to get a daily dose of inspiration.

7. Take time to reflect and re-assess yourself
People would think that they know themselves already which is why they refuse to do self-assessment on a regular basis. However, experts say that these people don’t realize that the more that they deny themselves self-reassessment the more they get stuck to their own routine. This, eventually, leaves them lesser room for improvement.
8. List down your strengths and weaknesses
If you want to be productive, it is best that you know strengths and weaknesses. If you do already know these, you will know what areas to continue and what areas to improve on. Once you were able to identify all of these, it will be easier for you to set goals for yourself that are within your reach and your capabilities. Listing down weakness and strengths will also help you overcome, manage, and deal with problems.
9. Monitor your progress
Keeping track of how good or bad you progressing with being productive will help you find ways that would best work for you. For those who are just starting with being productive, it is best to keep track of how you are doing so you will know where are the areas that you should improve on and what are the things that you should continue doing.
10. Share the “productivity” virus
Many people are inspired to continue the good things that they are doing if others around them are willing to follow. If you are the one who is just starting with increasing his or her productivity, find time to share and help others. If you think you are doing well at your own pace, it would help if you find time to share the experience as well as the ideas to others so you will influence them eventuall
11. Use productivity booster apps
Productivity apps such as Trello and Notion are effective to help you boost your productivity. It’s their purpose to aid us so why not make use of them. I use Notion and Evernote for taking notes. We all have times when ideas suddenly come up and we only have our phones with us. Use Evernote to capture ideas. You can use Trello or Google Keep for communication and scheduling tasks.

Remember that being productive is a very important factor our lives because this will help us see things in a positive way, thus, enabling us to overcome challenges since we have developed an attitude that could withstand failures and trials.
