1. Hydrate yourself first thing in the morning
Most of us would probably feel lethargic and don’t have the energy to do our thing. Our bodies would be pretty parched when we wake up.
So, chugging a glass of water or two right after waking up in the morning is the simplest and most practical way to boost and lighten up your mood.
It quickly rehydrates your body after a 6-to-8 hour sleep. It will surely get your body working and restore the alertness you need to jumpstart your day.

2. Take a cold shower

3. Drink coffee or tea

If the previous tips are not your thing, probably this will do the trick. I know this is already common but it bears emphasizing. Happiness and positivity are often associated with coffee.
The caffeine that it has stimulates your brain and improves vigilance. So, the moment you feel blue, most especially if it’s Monday, just grab one mug and fill it with the coffee you badly need.
That might save you from breathing fire like a mad dragon.
4. Take enough rest
Perhaps, you are most likely caught up with work or with your studies – that is, if you’re a student. So, sleep might be the last thing on your To-Do List.
But keep this in your mind – without the necessary amount of sleep, you may somehow find it hard to last throughout the day. You might have to drag and force yourself to stay awake as much as possible.
Thus, do yourself a favor and try your best to get enough rest every single night.
5. Listen to an upbeat music
Music is a therapy – oh, no doubt about that! It is universally known for its power to alleviate stress for the time being.

6. Take a brief walk outside
In the morning or at midday or whenever you find yourself languishing, get those gorgeous legs moving and go for a brief stroll.
You can spare just 15 minutes for this. If you feel a little foggy or if you can’t concentrate, take that chance to take a walk outside.
Fill your lungs with some air and allow your brain to rest for a moment. Walking releases endorphins in your body which helps you feel happier and more energized.

7. Minimize distractions
Before getting started with work, clear your tables and only keep those that are necessary for your work. Turn your phone off when it’s time to work to prevent yourself from checking it out every now and then.
Minimizing distractions helps you to stay focused and gives you the boost you need. You don’t have to waste time locating the things you need or scrolling down on your social media timeline.
Just imagine the things you can accomplish if you have fewer distractions. It would be tremendous!
8. Follow a nighttime routine

If you already have a nighttime routine you religiously follow, that’s even better. If none, then it’s not yet late for you to build one.
Having a nighttime routine helps you to reduce sleepless nights and prevents you from developing insomnia. As a result, you get to have the perfect time to enjoy sufficient rest.
This will then help you survive the following day at work as this improves your ability to keep calm under pressure.

9. Journal
No matter what mood you are in, daily journaling is integral. It helps you keep track of your emotions and it makes you become more aware of what triggers those emotions or moods you feel at the moment.

I always have mood swings especially when my blood sugar level is on whack haha. but you know what, spending a little time walking under the sun is really effective.
